Janak Palace is 90 years old royal residence of Late Th. Janak Singh son of Late Th. Devi Singh of Thikana, Chomu. Janak Mahal Palace is now converted into hotel run by Kr. Lokendra Singh Chomu.

He is a scion of the house of Chomu.The senior most Thikana under the Jaipur State. Maharaja Prithvi Raj Singhji of Amber’s fort son of Gopalji was ruler of Chomu and Samode Thikana.

The decendents of Gopalji like Nathaji, Manohar Dasji etc. fought many battles under Maharaja Sawai Man Singji of Jaipur.

The Most famous battle being conqest of Afghanisthan by Th. Manohar Dasji who compiled the colours captured from the Afghans tomake the famous “Panchranga” (five coloured flag) and Presented it to Jaipur State.

In the memory of the victory of the famous battle of Afghanistan. His ancestors also fought against Maratha,s in the famous battle of Kakor.
